South Actor, Writer and Director Rishab Shetty's Kannada movie, Kantara has registered phenomenal growth at the box office. With the whole country talking about it, Kantara is an example of a script done right.
Recently, Megastar Rajinikanth watched the film and made sure to tweet about it. The Robot actor tweeted, "#KantaraMovie you gave me goosebumps". Rajinikanth further adding, "Rishab hats off to you as a writer, director and actor. Congrats to the whole cast and crew of this masterpiece in Indian cinema."
Responding to Rajinikanth, Rishab wrote, "you are the biggest Superstar in India and I have been your fan since childhood. Your appreciation is my Dream come true. You inspire me to do more local stories and inspire our audiences everywhere. Thank you, sir."

Written and directed by Rishab Shetty, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films, Kantara has become the second-highest-grossing Kannada film of 2022. Kantara means forest. That's what the film is all about. All that happens in the forest, to whom it belongs, and what happens to those localities when people with power try to occupy it is shown in the film.
